Healthcare · HIPAA

The HIPAA package that lets a practice owner sleep.

A risk analysis that holds up in front of OCR, safeguards implemented rather than promised, policies your staff actually follow, and a breach plan you have rehearsed. Then the program keeps running: continuous compliance and a 24/7 watch over patient records.

Questions

Straight answers.

Will this satisfy an OCR inquiry?
The risk analysis is documented to the HHS guidance and is the first document OCR asks for. The package produces it, keeps it current and keeps the evidence that safeguards ran, which is what an investigator wants to see.
We already have a HIPAA binder. Why do this?
Because a binder proves intent, not operation. The proposed Security Rule moves to mandatory MFA, encryption, 72-hour restoration and annual audits. Practices that operate those controls now have nothing to scramble for later.
What about a hospital or a multi-site group?
The same package scales by site and workforce; the scoping call sets the fee. Hospitals typically add the mock audit and the continuous compliance agent across departments.
Is the new HIPAA Security Rule final?
No. HHS proposed it in January 2025 with mandatory MFA and encryption, asset inventories, network maps, 72-hour restoration and annual compliance audits. As of October 2026 it remains a proposal; the federal Unified Agenda lists final action for July 2027. Today’s rule still applies in full, and building toward the proposal now is sensible preparation.Source: Unified Agenda, RIN 0945-AA22
Can a practice be HIPAA certified?
There is no official HIPAA certification. HHS says covered entities are not required to certify compliance and that it does not endorse private certifications. What matters to OCR is a current risk analysis, working safeguards, trained staff and documented policies. The package assembles exactly that evidence.Source: HHS Security Rule FAQ
